Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland (CHSS) is an independent Scottish medical charity. We aim to improve the quality of life for people in Scotland who are affected by chest, heart & stroke illness through medical research, advice and information and support in the community.
The Volunteer Stroke Service is the main rehabilitation service of CHSS and run by CHSS. We provide a weekly support service which meets the needs of a person affected by stroke illness resulting in communication difficulties throughout the country.
Our service depends entirely on the support of VOLUNTEERS. You can help by either becoming a conversation partner, a group helper, or volunteer driver. Help raised funds by assisitng at our fundraising events or work within our shops.
We provide training and out of pocket expenses, and offer the chance to learn new skills, meet new friends, most importantly ENJOY YOURSELF!
